Problem Solving

We understand staying away may come with adjustments. Unfortunately, common issues from the below list may occur during your stay, these issues may be rectified by following these simple steps:

Gas Bottles

Occasionally the BBQ gas bottles will run out of gas. If this is the case, we ask that you please take the bottle to the BP service station to be exchanged and provide us with a receipt and your bank details. We will organise to have you reimbursed for the cost of exchanging the gas bottle. Please provide this to our office prior to your check-out day.

No Hot Water

Locate the fuse box – This may be inside the property in a hallway or laundry OR it may be outside in the meter box. Check to see if there is a HOT WATER circuit breaker in the fuse box. If so, ensure that the HOT WATER circuit breaker is ON/UP

For electric hot water units please locate the meter box and look for a button that says HOT WATER BOOST. Once located, press and hold the HOT WATER BOOST button for 2-5 seconds. You should hear a ‘click’ sound and the rectangular screen on the unit will show ON. This will fast track the heating process. If you do not press the boost button, it may take up to 12 hours to heat. Please note not all properties offer instant hot water and are provided on storage some of these properties are set to heat up overnight.

Loss of Power

Check if the neighbours have also lost power. If not, locate the metre box, and ensure the circuit switch is ON/UP.
